Beginner guide for the first week

Start by learning the shift, not by chasing a perfect score. I lined the Steam “how it plays” text up with the 10 and 15 October patch notes so the first unlocks below match v0.1.57, not the launch-day menu.

What I would do on day one

  • If first person makes you ill, switch to third person. The store text calls this out on purpose.
  • Run one bowl from stock to handoff before you open every station.
  • Watch four scores: noodle doneness, broth temperature, aroma and umami, and serve time.
  • Buy the ramen bowl shelf as soon as the shop is level 1. It is on the v0.1.57 list.

Tutorial timing after the 10 October patch

My Ramen used to wait until shop level 12. v0.1.50 moved that prompt to level 4, on the morning of the next business day. If a staff tutorial is also waiting, the patch says the staff tutorial goes first. I have not timed a full week of takings, so I am not printing a money curve.

From v0.1.57, a pot that is filling cannot be picked up or interrupted, and a pot on the burner cannot have the heat cut. Carry limits that patch went from 5 to 6 for rice bowls and gyoza plates, and from 5 to 10 for trays. The exact key for the camera swap is not in the notes I read, so I am not inventing a bind.
