Soup bases, toppings, and reheating
There is no one Japanese Ramen Simulator recipe card. A Steam community guide I read, “THE SOUP,” says any pork-bone mix becomes tonkotsu, any chicken bone becomes chicken broth, and any beef bone becomes beef-bone broth. Onion and negi change aroma and umami. They do not rename the soup.
The bone table is a player guide, not a Wild Dog document. I am labeling it that way so it does not get quoted as an official formula.
Three bones, plus a plain broth
| Bones in the pot | Broth the guide reports |
|---|---|
| Pork | Tonkotsu |
| Chicken | Chicken broth (tori paitan or chintan in the guide’s words) |
| Beef | Gyukotsu, beef bone broth |
| No bone, other ingredients | Regular broth |
The same guide’s example of a meatless pot is sugar, cabbage, ginger, and bok choy, scored 15 umami and 18 aroma in that player’s test. I have not repeated the test, so treat the numbers as one person’s result. The store’s own line is simpler: aroma and umami come from the combination of soup ingredients, and plating is physical, so the bowl is not a flat icon.
What changes the score, and what changes the price
That player guide also says higher umami and aroma do not raise the menu price by themselves. Toppings do. Umami still matters when a critic or other boss customer sits down. Sides follow the store description: gyoza are judged on sear, beer on the liquid and the head, and a chashu don is ramen toppings over rice.
Reheating, and what v0.1.57 changed
I could not find an official reheating procedure, so I am not writing steps for “how to reheat broth.” What the 15 October notes do say: burnt gyoza can still be served, and the score takes the hit. Negi orders split into “cut green onion” and “cut garlic chives,” with a clearer customer line when you pick the wrong one. If a pot reads empty after the soup is ladled out, that matches a bug report from the discussions, not a rule. Check the latest patch before you rebuild the recipe around it.
