Privacy policy
This policy matches the scripts on the site as of 18 October 2026, including the two Adsterra ad units added that day. The initial HTML requests no ad network, no Google Analytics and no session recorder: Adsterra, Microsoft Clarity and GA4 are requested only after you press Accept. A trailer plays only after you click, and that click is what contacts YouTube.
Who to write to
The operator of japaneseramensimulator.org handles privacy requests at contact@japaneseramensimulator.org. There is no separate data-protection office.

The site does not set its own cookie for accounts, because there are no accounts. Those two localStorage entries are the only first-party browser storage the site writes. Legal basis for both is your choice in the banner (consent) plus, for the closed-bar flag, your own action of closing it. Reject stores a denial so the banner stays quiet for the same 180 days. After Accept, Microsoft Clarity adds its own _clck and _clsk cookies on this domain, and Adsterra sets advertising cookies from its own domains; both are described below.
Third parties that can actually run
- Adsterra (adsterra.com, serving its scripts from bicea.org and creatives from nresystems.com). Two formats run on this site: a Native Banner inside the page (ad unit 31786626) and a Social Bar that floats at the bottom of the viewport (ad unit 31786627), both on Adsterra website 6130613, category Social, with "Show adult ads" switched off. Neither invoker script is in the served HTML — before Accept the Adsterra URLs exist only as text inside a script, and no bicea.org request is made. Purpose: display advertising that pays for the site. Legal basis: consent. Adsterra sets its own advertising and measurement cookies from its own domains, not from japaneseramensimulator.org, so this site cannot read or list them; the close control on the Social Bar and Reject are the two levers this site gives you over them.
- YouTube (Google). A click on a trailer facade inserts an iframe to youtube-nocookie.com. YouTube may then set cookies and read the embed. Purpose: play the official Wild Dog trailer. Legal basis: the click. We do not load the player on first paint.
- Google Analytics 4 (Google), measurement ID G-CH2DY5S2BE. Loaded only after Accept: gtag.js plus one config call. Before it runs the page sets Consent Mode v2 defaults (ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization, analytics_storage all denied) together with ads_data_redaction and url_passthrough. Purpose: aggregate page and campaign counts. Legal basis: consent; Reject and GPC leave it off. Google’s privacy policy is linked below.
- Microsoft Clarity (Microsoft). Loaded only after Accept, from Microsoft’s clarity.ms host. Purpose: session recordings and heatmaps, so the guide’s confusing spots can be fixed. It reads page URLs, clicks, scrolling, and device/browser details; Microsoft may set the first-party cookies _clck and _clsk on this domain. Legal basis: consent; Reject and GPC leave it off. Delete those cookies in the browser to clear what it wrote.
- Cloudflare, if the host is Cloudflare Pages. Connection logs (IP, user agent) are processed by the host, and Cloudflare Email Routing delivers mail sent to contact@japaneseramensimulator.org. We do not run a separate visitor database. Retention follows Cloudflare’s log policy.
Links to Steam, Discord, wilddog.jp, and YouTube watch pages are ordinary links. They do not embed those sites until you navigate away, except for the trailer click described above. No AdSense tag and no second ad network are installed: Adsterra is the only advertising seller on these pages.

None of these exist before Accept: the Google tags are appended after your choice, and the Adsterra invoker scripts are created at the same moment. Reject, or a browser sending Global Privacy Control, keeps all of them away — and Reject also removes what the current page already injected.
Ads, personalization, and opt-outs
ads.txt on this domain declares exactly one seller: adsterra.com, 3403020, DIRECT. That publisher id is the value the Adsterra publisher dashboard reports for this account (/api/user returns id 3403020 and analytics_user_id pub_3403020); Adsterra does not supply ads.txt files of its own, so the line is written from the dashboard value rather than supplied by the vendor. No other company is authorised to sell this inventory.
Ads here need your Accept first, so personalization is already under your control on this site. If you want the wider advertising industry to stop profiling you, use Google Ads Settings for Google-held data, the NAI opt-out page and Your Online Choices for the European industry lists, and aboutads.info for the US DAA list. When the browser exposes navigator.globalPrivacyControl, the banner is not offered and the choice is stored as rejected. A Do Not Track header is not visible to this static page, so the control that works here is GPC plus the Reject button. Cookie settings in the footer reopens the banner, and the first thing a new Accept does is clear the jrs_ads_closed flag so the floating bar can appear again.
Your rights
You can ask for access, correction, deletion, or a copy of the consent record, and you can withdraw Accept at any time from Cookie settings. You can also complain to a supervisory authority where you live. We will answer the mailbox. Withdrawing consent does not affect Adsterra or YouTube cookies already set from their own domains; clear those in the browser, or use the opt-out links above.

When a script is added or removed, this page and its date change together. The date at the top is 2026-10-18, the day the Adsterra units were added.
