Customers, prices, and staff
The direct answer to “how do I get more customers?” arrived in v0.1.57. World Settings has a customer-traffic control, a wait-time control, and a bill multiplier. I found them described in the Steam news post, not in a fan spreadsheet.
Where the sliders are
Load a save first. World Settings is not on the title screen. After the shop is loaded, the 15 October notes say the host can change customer count, wait time, and the bill multiplier, including during service. Wait time applies immediately. Each shop stores its own values. In co-op, only the host’s settings count.
- Turn individual dishes or drinks off if the pass is drowning.
- Limit orders to My Ramen after you have registered one.
- Hire part-time NPCs for the register, dishes, and serving. v0.1.57 adds a serving-staff counter at shop level 9.
- The mid roadmap promises dedicated gyoza and beer staff. They are not in this build.
Pricing, with the caveat
A player guide says toppings raise the selling price and that umami and aroma currently do not, except as a way to pass boss customers. I have not seen an official price table, and I do not have wages for the part-timers. The only official money figure in the achievements is $10,000 in lifetime sales, which 18.8% of players had reached on 17 October 2026.
A negative review I read said solo shifts fall apart because NPCs do not cook or wait tables. The World Settings switches are the studio’s answer to that complaint: fewer order types, adjustable traffic, and a serving hire at level 9. One player’s casino story, $600 in and $900 out, is a single anecdote. It is not a payout table.
